Protecting Your Smile

Getting regular dental care will help you stay well.

Coverage Options

USG offers two dental plans through Delta Dental, giving you access to quality, affordable care. These plans are both a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). Since the dentists in the PPO network have agreed to reduced fees, you’ll save the most when you visit an in-network dentist. If you can’t find a PPO network dentist in your area, the Delta Dental Premier dentists also have set fees to help you save. See what dentists are in your network with the dentist network search tool.

Newly enrolled members will receive a Delta Dental ID card. Presenting your ID card (or other personal information) at the time of your visit is the fastest way for your dental provider to verify your benefits.

Georgia Tech employees also have an additional dental option with a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).

    How orthodontic claims are paid

With the Delta Dental High Plan, the first payment is 50% of the total amount payable. The remaining 50% is paid 12 months later. Our allowances for orthodontic procedures include all appliances, adjustments, insertion, removal and post-treatment stabilization (retention). Calculations are based on the all-inclusive total treatment plan amount (subject to any deductible), the appropriate payment percentage and maximum amount. You must remain enrolled in the high plan for the duration of orthodontic treatment.

Wisdom teeth extraction

Wisdom teeth surgery is covered under your USG dental plans.  See the plan details for coverage amounts.

Coverage costs

Find the monthly rates for both plans on the Employee Premiums page. Access your personal coverage costs for the plans you’re enrolled in select Manage Benefits on OneUSG Connect. For additional detail about how coverage works for specific services, see your plan documents

Get Preventive Care, Keep Saving

Here’s a great reason to stay up to date on your diagnostic and preventive care. In most cases, the plan will pay for these services at 100% and won’t count the total cost towards your maximum. This helps you save on care now so you might not have to pay for expensive, restorative dental services later.
