Accident, Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity Plans

For the Unexpected

Supplemental insurance complements your existing healthcare coverage to help protect you, your family and your finances in case the unexpected happens.

  • Accident Plan

The USG Accident Plan offered by Aflac can protect you from the financial impact of an accident by paying benefits for specific injuries and events resulting from a covered accident on or after your coverage effective date. The amounts paid depend on the type of injury and care received.

While the plan helps to offset out-of-pocket costs such as emergency care and recovery, or other healthcare expenses like deductibles and copayments, accident insurance is not health insurance and does not satisfy the requirement of minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

The plan provides cash benefits when an insured person is diagnosed with or treated for a covered critical illness. You will receive a lump-sum benefit to help with eligible out-of-pocket costs that can accompany a covered critical illness. Review a list of covered critical illnesses.

Critical Illness insurance is not health insurance and does not satisfy the requirement of minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

Aflac also offers a Health Screening Benefit  to help supplement the additional cost of this coverage.  Click this link to file a Health Screening claim,  policy number 23054.
