65 and older USG Retiree Healthcare Rates
Your USG retiree healthcare benefit is an annual contribution to your Health Reimbursement Account (HRA). This HRA account is employer-funded by USG and can be used to reimburse yourself for eligible expenses you have paid out of pocket, such as Medicare Part B costs, as well as premiums for healthcare, prescription drug, vision, and dental coverage purchased through Alight Retiree Health Solutions.

2024 Annual Contribution
For employees hired on or after January 1, 2013, USG’s contribution for Post-65 retiree healthcare is based on your years of service with the University System of Georgia. This means retirees age 65 and over will receive a percentage of $2,640 annually to your HRA for both you and your Medicare-enrolled spouse, up to 100%.
Note: In order to remain eligible for this contribution, you must remain continuously enrolled in a Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, or Medicare Prescription Drug Plan through ARHS. If you retire mid-year, your first HRA contribution will be prorated based on the date you enroll in an eligible Supplemental health plan with ARHS.
